Boarding Requirements

It is very important to us that the pets in our care meet our

requirements to keep your pet, other pets, and our staff safe.

Drop off your pet for boarding any time before 4pm!

In House Behavioral Trial

Every dog must do our trial assessment  where you leave your pet with us for 1 to 3 hours while your away and doing a few errands. We introduce your pet to one dog at a time so they don’t get overwhelmed with a large group of dogs greeting them all at once. Our trial is by appointment only, please call us to set up a time to bring your dog by!

Friendly with Others

We want to have a positive and safe playing environment for all dogs. Pets must be non-aggressive towards people, animals, and toys. Personal items will not be allowed due to high risk of territorial behavior. We are not set up, nor do we have the extra space, to keep aggressive animals at our facilities.

Spayed and Neutered

After 7 months of age all pets must be spayed or neutered. Dogs that are not spayed or neutered are at a greater risk for behavior and dominance issues. There is also the risk of unwanted pregnancies. And even dogs that are spayed or neutered can get jealous or protective and can try and challenge pets that aren’t spayed or neutered.

Current on Vaccines

All pets must have current proof of vaccinations from a certified veterinarian.  Required vaccines include Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella. We do not have a fax, so you can bring in a paper copy, have your vet call us, or have it emailed to us. Vaccines may be waived due to old age, health reasons, or allergies with a written release from licensed veterinarian. Although we don't require Lepto or a fecal test, it is highly recommenced that you get them for your pet.

No Parasites

All pets must enter the facility with no fleas or parasites.  If fleas are found after your pet is left in our care, then the pet will be bathed and/or treated with topical flea treatment and you will be responsible for any charges. Although we have a no flea policy, there is a higher risk of your pet getting fleas when socializing them with other dogs, so it is highly recommended that you treat your pet monthly with a topical treatment.

What to Bring for Boarding

Vaccine Records

All pets must have current proof of vaccinations from a certified veterinarian.  Required vaccines include Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella. We do not have a fax, so you can bring in a paper copy, have your vet call us, or have it emailed to us. Vaccines may be waived due to old age, health reasons, or allergies with a written release from licensed veterinarian. Although we don't require Lepto or a fecal test, it is highly recommenced that you get them for your pet.

Own Food

We highly recommend bringing your pet's own food from home. We do not charge extra to feed your pet its own food. Switching your dog's diet can give them an upset tummy or diarrhea. Bring food in its original dog bag, zip lock baggies, or a container with your pet's first and last name. It's not a bad idea to bring a day or two extra just in case your trip is longer then planned. Any extra food left over will be given back. We feed twice a day although we can feed lunch if your dog is used to that. Any free fed or picky eaters should bring special enticing food to stimulate eating while in a new environment.  If you do not bring your pets food or if you run out, we have Lamb and Rice premium dry dog food for only $1.00 per day.

Medications

We will administer any medications as provided and directed by you.  Please make sure medications are marked with detailed instructions so we can administer it to your pet properly.  We can give tablet and capsules, topical ointments and spray, eye and ear drops, and insulin injects. To insure they take oral medication, you can bring your choice of treat to add to food like peanut butter, cheese, meat, or pill pocket. We have a refrigerator to store treats and medications if needed.

No Personal Items From Home

We ask that you leave all beds, bowls, crates, blankets, and toys at home. Not having these items makes less of a hassle for you and us. It’s one less thing for you to remember to bring before your big trip, and we don’t have to worry about your items getting misplaced or destroyed. We supply all bedding for each pet that is washed daily. Plus, far too many dogs can be possessive over personal items or toys. We also do not need your pet’s food or water bowls. We have size appropriate feeding bowls that are sanitized after each feeding. Fresh, clean water is always available and bowls are washed daily.
